Contrast: For this design, I created a Christmas card with three separate photos. Each photo added contrast since they were all different poses. I also added a white border on the photos which added contrast from each photo as well. The white, soft opacity rectangle in the middle of the card also added contrast as well.

Repetition: The background of all of the photos added to the repetition of the card because they have a similar background. The white border and rectangle in the middle of the card added to the repetition as well because it was all the same color.

Proximity: The photos, text and white background borders are all in very close proximity in this Christmas card. The purpose was to make it as simple and clean as possible and the close proximity of the text and borders really help with that. The photos are also in close proximity, but not so close that it is hard on the eyes.

Color Scheme: The color scheme for this card was meant to be very neutral. The background of the photos helped with that because they had a natural look, then I added the white and black background and text to help add contrast. I felt like the black and white color palette also worked as a classy holiday vibe as well.

Photoshop: To create my Christmas card for my husband and I, I first chose the photos that I felt would be the best fit for the card. Then, I cropped and placed them into the template. I added the white border around each photo so the background didn't mix in with each photo. Then I created a white rectangle and turned down the opacity to just over 50% to make it not as harsh of a line like the other background borders. I added the text into the rectangle and centered it to fit correctly in the space.
